Desktopr - make wallpaper from any website App Reviews

Multi-monitor support would be really nice - it only displays on the primary desktop. The secondary is actually the one I wanted to display things on. Im living with that, though, and overall the app is fast, stable, and flexible enough to support very complex schemes and schedules. It has the potential to be a headline-worthy star with a few feature tweaks, as long as the developer can keep it fast and light.

Im giving this app 4 stars. As with other reviewers, it will be worthy of my fifth star when multiple monitor support is added. I have a couple of issues though… 1) Im stuck on a white screen. I attempted to point the application to a localhost file on my machine (that feeds from a DropBox folder) and it wouldnt open. I removed all of the other sites from the application settings and am now unable to get to the application settings when launching the app. My options when clicking the menubar icon are always [Activate Desktopr] or [Quit Desktopr]. No matter how many times I click [Activate Desktopr], I remain on a white screen with no new option to enter settings. I have uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed twice to no avail. 2) Both the [Developer Website] and [Desktopr Support] links above direct me to the developer Facebook page. I have no Facebook account and no intention to start one to receive support for this application. (Yes, Im the one guy under 50 who doesnt have a Facebook account. Im a web developer and have plenty of friends - maybe its my small way of being a hipster or something…)

great idea, but doesn’t work well on my iMac. It will start up with a website bg I want, but only on one space - that is, I can’t have it running on all the spaces as a general background. But beyond that bug, it flashes every few seconds, showing the normal background wallpaper image. very annoying, just the opposite of what I actually wanted. too bad. This has potential, it’s just not there yet.
